Hotel check-in

A hotel voucher is not required; you will be able to check in by providing your name

Hotels will endeavour to ensure rooms are ready for their standard check-in time, but this cannot always be guaranteed. If your room is not ready on arrival, or if you arrive earlier than the standard check‑in time, a luggage storage facility will be available (subject to availability). Please note that luggage is left at your own risk. If you wish to guarantee an early check‑in or a late check‑out, additional charges will apply, and extra nights may need to be booked to secure this, subject to availability. Please contact us for further information.

At check‑in, you may be required to present a credit or debit card to pre‑register for any incidental charges. This involves a pre‑authorisation, which is a common process where the hotel requests approval from your bank or card provider to temporarily reserve a portion of your available credit. These funds are not charged, but they are held to ensure that money is available to cover any potential additional costs during your stay. This hold remains in place until check‑out. If no incidental charges are applied, or if the hotel settles them through another method (such as cash or a different card), the unused held amount will be released by your bank. The timeframe for releasing these funds varies depending on your bank or card provider.

Hotel parking charges may apply where available. Car‑parking information is provided via Google Maps. Please note that parking operates on a first‑come, first‑served basis, and we are unable to pre‑book spaces on your behalf.

Hotel check-out

If on check out, you decide to pay using cash or with an alternative credit/debit card (different to the one provided on arrival); the amount taken from the first credit/debit card normally takes 5-7 working days to be released back to your card by your own issuing bank or credit card company. Some issuing banks and building societies may take longer specially for cards issued outside of the United Kingdom.

You are recommended to use room safes when provided and ensure you always check this prior to departure to ensure you leave nothing behind.

Please note that should your check-out date coincide with match day, we are unable to guarantee that the hotel will offer or have available baggage storage facilities available. As such, we kindly advise making alternative arrangements for your luggage.

Hotel bars

Hotel bars often operate under restricted opening hours because their serving times are governed by local licensing regulations and council-approved permits. These rules vary by area and can limit how late alcohol can be served, even within hotel premises. In addition, some hotels choose not to offer late‑night bar service for operational or staffing reasons. As a result, there is no guarantee that your hotel bar will remain open after the match, and guests should check specific opening hours in advance to avoid disappointment.

Dietary requests

Whilst we will always make every effort to ensure that any dietary requirements you have advised us of are communicated to and accommodated by the hotels, it’s important to note that some European hotels may offer only a limited selection for certain needs—particularly options such as gluten‑free meals, which are not always catered for as extensively as in the UK. Additionally, hotels cannot guarantee that food is prepared in a completely protected or allergen‑free environment. Therefore, if you have a highly sensitive food intolerance or allergy, you may wish to consider bringing some suitable food items with you to ensure your comfort and peace of mind during your stay.

In-room amenities

In‑room amenities can vary widely between hotels, and there is no guarantee that items such as tea, coffee, bottled water, or a broad selection of refreshments will be provided. In some properties, only basic supplies are offered, and cups may be paper rather than glass or china. Breakfast tea is often limited—or not provided at all—particularly in many European hotels. Mini‑bars are frequently left empty as standard, and if you would like yours to be stocked, this usually needs to be arranged and prepaid at reception. If having specific amenities is important to you, we would recommend bringing your preferred items with you to avoid any disappointment during your stay.

Accomodation – Important Information About Heating & Ventilation in European Hotels

Please note that many older or traditional hotels in Europe operate heating systems that are set according to municipal or regional regulations, particularly during the winter and spring months. As a result, individual guestrooms may not have their own heating controls, and hotels are often required to maintain fixed temperature levels.

When the weather is unexpectedly mild for the season, rooms may feel warmer than anticipated. In addition, some hotels use window restrictors which limit how far windows can be opened for safety and energy efficiency reasons.

Please also be aware that in city centre locations, opening windows may increase exposure to urban noise, including busy roads, nightlife, pubs, clubs, and early morning traffic. This can make rooms feel louder than expected, especially in lively neighbourhoods.

These factors are common across many European destinations, and hotels are often unable to adjust their heating systems outside their company policies or local guidelines.

We share this information so you can feel fully informed. If you have concerns about room temperature or noise during your stay, please speak to the hotel reception team, who will always do their best to assist within the available options.
