Travel to the stadium
On Foot
BT Murrayfield Stadium is approximately a 45-minute walk from Edinburgh city centre. From Princes Street head onto Shandwick Place (A8) which leads on to Atholl Place, then onto Haymarket Terrace. Continue on the A8 until Roseburn Street, and turn left. There are a range of shops, bars and restaurants along the route, including the Murrayfield Bar, just past Roseburn Street which is popular with rugby fans.
Please note, the walking route post-match may change due to crowd control measures.
By Tram
Tip: it can be difficult to purchase tram tickets when the tram station is busy, especially on a match day. Tickets can be purchased online via the free Transport for Edinburgh app (suitable for Apple and Android devices), meaning you then only need to validate your ticket when you get to the tram station.
