Stadium Facilities

There are kiosks throughout the stadium which sell a variety of refreshments. All bars and in stadium merchandise units accept contactless payment.

Please note that bottles, glasses or containers of any description cannot be taken into the stadium. Air horns and larger flag sticks are also not permitted.

Smoking is not permitted in the main bowl. Smoking is permitted outside the stadium but within the main gates.

Ground Rules
Please note no bags (with the exception of small handbags, no larger than 35cm x 40cm x 19cm or standard handbags) will be allowed into the stadium. Handbags will be subject to search. There are no bag storage facilities available at the stadium.

Additional security checkpoints including bag searches and pat-downs will be in place at all entrance points to the stadium.  The WRU reserves the right to eject, or refuse entry to, any person who declines to be searched. Match day ticket holders are advised to arrive at Principality Stadium earlier than usual to allow for security checks to operate efficiently.

The Guinness Fan zone will be open on level four on the South stand of the stadium. It will be open three hours prior to kick off.

On Foot  
The stadium is most accessible by foot, situated on Westgate Street, near Park Street and Castle Street in the city centre.

By Rail
Cardiff Central Station is a short walk from the stadium. Address: Cardiff Central Train Station, Central Square, CF10 1EP

By Bus

By Bus If you have arrived into Cardiff by bus, the stadium is a 10 minute walk from Sophia Gardens, and a five minute walk from Castle Street, Westgate Street and Wood Street bus stops. By National Express The stadium is a 10 minute walk from Sophia Gardens, the National Express coach station. Address: Sophia Gardens, Cardiff, CF11 9HW

By Car

By Car Car parking around the Principality stadium is restricted. There are a number of NCP car parks in the city which are a short walk to the stadium. Please check the NCP website for parking fees and opening times. If you are planning to drive on match day please be aware that major road closures take place throughout the city approximately three hours before kick-off and they do not re-open the roads until considered safe to do so and at least a minimum of two hours post match.
