Samoa's final standing place at the end of the season was a very impressive 3rd position and only eight points off the top spot.

Samoa started the series impressivly by winning the plate competition in Dubai, but their success didn't end their. They then went on to win the Cup competition in New Zealand and Hong Kong, and finished as runners-up in the Cup, in no fewer than 3 more times. Samoa exceeded all expectations last season, but now they have a tast of success, they will be eager to try and finish first in 2007/08.
