TIM BOOKS RBS 6 NATIONS ’FULL MONTY’
Tim Yates is so determined not to miss a single moment of England’s 2012 RBS 6 Nations Championship campaign that he has opted for the ‘Full Monty’ and has booked official ticket and travel options to follow the team at every game!
The 32-year-old Bath supporter has been captivated by international rugby since boyhood but after watching England take on France at Twickenham last February, he is determined to chart England’s progress through the entire campaign this season.
“It’s something I have never done before and I didn’t just want to go to one or two matches so I decided to go for the whole lot,” he told englandrugbytravel.com.
“The fact England Rugby Travel is the RFU’s official travel company, which means tickets are officially guaranteed and secure, just hit the nail on the head and as I have never done anything like this before they were the obvious choice.”
Tim, who plays in the second row for Chipstead RFC in Surrey, is particularly looking forward to England’s trip to Paris and their potentially feisty meeting with the Rugby World Cup Finalists on Sunday 11 March.
“I am really looking forward to the France game,” he said. “I have never been over there before and after their rugby and progression to the Final of Rugby World Cup 2011, it is obviously a massive game to go and be part of.
“I went to Twickenham last season and the atmosphere was brilliant – I just want more of the same and to experience the international buzz on match day and then watch a great game of rugby.
“Growing up with rugby, I have played since I was seven and always watched the England games on television and now I have the opportunity to go and see it for myself.
“The one thing I am really looking forward to is hopefully seeing England win and to be able to say ‘I was there’ – that would be nice.”
