MICHAEL READY TO UNCORK CLASSIC WEEKEND
England fan Michael Smith was looking for something a bit special in the RBS 6 Nations Championship this season which is why he had no hesitation in booking an exclusive Taittinger Champagne tasting package to Paris with Taittinger.
He might be a veteran of England games in Rome and Dublin as well as a regular traveller to France but it was the thought of a Champagne tasting experience with Taittinger that convinced the England Rugby Supporters’ Club member of 12 years to book his place to Paris alongside official match tickets to England’s mouth watering showdown in the Stade de France.
“I am looking forward to one of the best rugby weekends I have ever had, a Champagne tasting experience and then seats at the Stade de France,” he said.
“What really appealed about this was there was something for everyone – it’s a little bit different, there is something for ladies to really enjoy on the Saturday and then the rugby on the Sunday.
“For our wives it means the weekend is not just about the rugby which is quite important because it creates other great things to experience but we will certainly be going to France hoping to see England win.
“We have had some stand-out weekends in Rome and Ireland before but this will be the first time we have been to Paris for the rugby – and this weekend experience just really appealed from the outset.”
England Rugby Travel has teamed up with the RFU Wine Club to create an exclusive weekend break based around the RBS 6 Nations Championship. With three nights at a choice of hotels, an exclusive tour of the Taittinger Champagne cellars on the Saturday morning followed by a tasting and a private lunch at the Taittinger estate with a member of the family, fans are guaranteed a truly memorable weekend trip.
“This will certainly be a really full weekend of experiences,” Mike said. “To be able to use the Eurostar was also really attractive and we are all looking forward to it.
“I think England are going through a change of culture and hopefully we will see some good rugby against the team who reached the Rugby World Cup Final.”
