LAKES, BOULDERS AND PROPS - WHAT A WEEK!
Glacier tours, a trip to Lake Tekapo the Moeraki Boulders and an Italian prop – it has been another all action week at Rugby World Cup 2011 for England Rugby Travel clients!
It has been another full-on week of activities and action for England fans at Rugby World Cup 2011 – and the rugby has only been the half of it!
England fans continued on their tour of discovery around Dunedin this week with England Rugby Travel and visited some amazing sights.
Barry Frost, who is regularly seen at England games with his ‘Where’s Frosty’ flag of St George, is on his third major tour with England Rugby Travel and said of his week: “Our ride on small speed boats across the glacial lake at Mount Cook was awesome – we have hit an amazing patch of glorious weather and when combined with the stunning vistas we all had one hell of an experience.
“As for the rugby – I would say to all England fans just ‘keep the faith.’”
After trips to Mount Cook and Lake Tekapo, Leicester Tigers fans Alan and Sue Millhouse got to meet one of their heroes – Italian and Leicester prop Martin Castrogiovanni at a training session.
Alan and Sue are in New Zealand to celebrate his 70th birthday and he said: “I know everyone says the same thing but it really is the trip of a lifetime. I might draw the line at bungy jumping but I can’t wait for the vineyards, the whale watching and seeing the country as a whole – it will just be an amazing new experience.
“The great thing about these holidays is that everything is done for you, there is no reason to worry because everything is taken care of. It is that expertise and experience we are looking forward to.”
And with more fun to come in the coming weeks, England fans are collecting memories that will last a lifetime.
Craig Wegrzyn from the England Rugby Travel event team, said: “It’s been another pretty full-on week for everyone – the time is flying – but everyone is in great spirits, having a great time and England are winning!”
To join the party and to be part of Rugby World Cup 2011, England Rugby Travel still has limited availability to join the tour. For more information, click here
