Rustenburg - What to do
Enjoy a more relaxed side of South Africa in Rustenburg, or take the short trip to Sun City for completely the opposite, either way take a look at a few ideas on what to see and do.
Rustenburg Nature Reserve
The reserve is situated above the town of Rustenburg across a varied habitat of quartzite mountain peaks and inland waters on the northern slopes of the Magaliesberg.
The reserve hosts a population of over 800 antelope, including klipspringer, grey duiker, bushbuck, zebra, springbok, steenbok and waterbuck to name but a few. The reserve is famous for the breeding herd of sable antelope which are particularly well suited to the environment.
Small numbers of predators, including caracal, aardwolf, black-backed jackal and leopards can also be spotted around the reserve.
Art of Africa
Art of Africa is an exhibition of African sculpture and carvings made from a large variety of different materials. Most of the work on display can be purchased at very reasonable prices. An ideal place to spend an afternoon, or to purchase those all important gifts for those who weren’t lucky enough to be on tour.
