Pretoria - Where to drink

Pretoria has a great range of bars and pubs for you to enjoy a drink or two between games. 'Read more' for a few ideas.

Firkin Fun Pub Embankment Road, Centurion Lougardia Building No 2 The Firkin proves to a great pub in every aspect - top artists from all over South Africa are invited to perform for guests. What’s more, the place also has its own TV program every week. A great range of drinks and bar snacks are available. Keg & Hound 1077, Arcadia Street This is a 'real man’s' pub. For loud laughs and pure relaxation this is the place to be. Situated in the suburb of Hatfield, It has leather couches inside and modern chairs and tables with frosted glass windows. Open all week and weekend, it is a great place on Sunday, as it is one of the few pubs open and offers a relaxing environment. Knights Tavern SAAU Building Corner Schoeman & Andries Streets The Knights is the oldest and most successful pub in Pretoria. Renovated to keep up with its clientele, trends and competition, the pub has definitely not lost its touch. The pub is a favourite hang out for South African public servants as it is based around most of the cities state buildings. It is a very casual place with cool, serene music playing in the background. Madhatter’s Pub Host International Hotel 573, Church Street Welcome to this happening pub, where every day feels like a Saturday night. The Madhatter’s Pub is a convenient pub to go to as it is situated near to most of the hotels and tourist attractions. The pub boasts an open veranda, where you can see the beautiful Union Buildings while having a nice relaxing drink before the game.
