England Rugby Travel sold more than 14,000 tickets across the entire tournament and looked after more than 9,000 England fans from the opening ceremony when Argentina surprised France through to the final day when the English side narrowly lost to South Africa.

All of the travelling fans not only had their travel, accommodation and tickets guaranteed but they also enjoyed official Rugby World Cup merchandise to ensure they were 'part of the team' for the tournament.

The pool stages saw more than 5,500 fans travel with England Rugby Travel, with more than 2,500 making the trip to Paris for England's massive pool clash against the South Africans.

Almost 1,000 enjoyed the 30 degree temperature on the Mediterranean in Marseille for what was one of the best occasions of the tournament. The coastal location, the scorching heat and a pulsating 80 minutes of rugby, followed by a great second semi between South Africa and Fiji, all combined for one of the memorable moments of the Rugby World Cup.

There was no stopping fans after that great win over the Aussies in Marseille. England Rugby Travel sold out of its remaining semi-final packages within three hours of the final whistle, with more packages going on sale on Monday and Wednesday the following week – again all selling out straight away.

As everyone knows the semi-final had it all – with the tension and drama – setting up once of the greatest sporting weeks to be seen as England qualified for the Rugby World Cup final.

More than 1,300 fans travelled with England Rugby Travel for the epic final against the Springboks – many of whom had signed up and guaranteed their place months in advance.

The Rugby World Cup offered everything, a great sporting occasion, a mix of emotions from the South Africa loss in the pool stages through to the elation of the Marseille win and the victory over France at the home ground, through to the final seconds of the final.
